As I write this, the second flotilla is well on it's way to Gaza, and within a few hours of this the Israeli navy will likely intercept it illegally, just as they did a few days ago with the Global Sumud Flotilla. This site was launched in response to the illegal capture of 450+ activists and their vessels in the Global Sumud Flotilla. If the Israelis are going to continue their illegal activities in international waters, then further, more adverse action is necessary.
This must end. As Netanyahu continues in cowardice to evade the ICC's active warrant against him, and continues to fight against any modicum of peace that everyone else is positively in support of, the people of the world must continue to fight against this injustice.
"But I'm just a simple business/website owner. What can I do?" Whether you conduct business with Israelis or not, blocking their IP ranges from accessing your site or store will send a strong message. It won't stop them from using VPNs, or accessing your site while traveling, public participation of the blockade will remind them of why they had to do that in the first place.
We live in times when social media has become highly centralized, and thus controlled by those who are likely in bed with Israeli interests, so it's difficult for some to spread their messages effectively. By operating your own social media platform (which you can do cheaply), you can enact this blockade there and take control of your own community. Once upon a time, before the rise of big social networks like Facebook, TikTok, X/Twitter, and others, there were thousands of forums and smaller social networks across the internet. In the interest of free speech, we advocate more and more that people start returning to this. You can use software like Open Source Social Network and Memos, hosted on your own servers or hosting accounts, or you can participate in decentralized networks like Mastodon.
This site also serves as an open letter to the governments of the world: Why are you sitting down? You speak of sanctions, warrants, etc, but where is the action? How many more Palestinians have to die before you will step in? The United States is bought, lock stock and barrel, by Israel. Don't wait for it to make a move. As Europe continues to awaken, it must seek alliances with countries like Iran, Russia, and China, as well as their other allies, in order to launch an intervention to stop the illegal activity of Israel, its leadership, and the Israeli Genocidal Forces (IGF)... oops I mean IDF.
